100k up, down, and around the Chevreuse Valley, this route features climbs on both sides of the valley and, of course, my favorite climb, 17 Turns.
Heading out of Paris, you follow the left bank quais, avoiding the tunnel. This is a standard route out through Clamart and Meudon. The only change is when you get to Igny, there is a better cut-through to the EDF campus. This is now my new normal, but many previous routes had an alternative slightly west.

After you drop down into the valley, you take a left just past Gif to climb up the south side of the valley. You quickly drop back down and cut across the more scenic road between Saint-Remy and Chevreuse. Continuing down the road, you make your way to Dampierre-en-Yvelines. The route does not go in front of the chateau, but it's just 200m off route if you haven't seen it. Then it's on to the main event, 17 Turns. I have featured this several times, and while it is by no means the hardest climb, I think it is one of the prettiest climbs in the region and has a comfortable grade throughout.
After the climb, you make your way towards Versailles, but you cut east before you get there for an alternative route through Buc and Jouy-en-Josas. It keeps things fresh and adds some more climbing while avoiding less scenic and busy roads. As usual, it's auto-pilot from here through Meudon and along the quais until you hit coffee.
