Now that it's 2025, I'm challenging myself to post one route every single week this year. They will be posted here with a short description, strava link, and GPX file. As with all of my routes, they will be various lengths; anywhere from 40km to 200km+. I decided not to limit myself to round trip routes, but they will all be starting or ending in Paris. I hope this encourages you (as well as myself) to get out there, try new roads, and see some new scenery!

Lets get into week 1 with a twist on a classic, "Boucle de Buc". I took my go-to 60km route and made some small changes that make it feel like a completely different ride. Starting out, you leave Paris through the 15th arrondissement but go past the mellower Clamart climb and opt for the steeper La Muerte to get things started. This also gives you a different, less traveled path through Meudon which is nice.

As you enter Bievres, I chose the lower valley road that had recently fallen out of my rotation over the winding road just north. But the lower road remains a great choice and has its own positives.

After the Loges-en-Josas climb, you continue past the aqueduct and head into Versailles. Instead of sticking with all the traffic, you cut past the cemetery and climb back through Meudon again. From there it is standard ripping along the river until you are back at the cafe for a coffee.
